After Your Engagement
Congratulations! As soon as you’ve said yes, it’s time to start planning your wedding. We recommend that the first thing you do, before visiting a bridal boutique, is decide on two things: the date and venue of your ceremony. Knowing these will aide you in building a mental image of the setting you will wear your dress in, which will help you narrow down your dress options right away. For example, if you decide to have an outdoor wedding on the beach in the summer, you probably won’t want a heavy, long sleeved gown weighing you down.
10-12 Months Out
About 10-12 months before your ceremony, you should start booking your bridal appointments. This may sound like an exaggeration, but you will want to schedule plenty of time to find the dress of your dreams without feeling rushed. Finding the perfect gown requires patience and thoughtful decision-making, and even after you do find the one, it can take several months for your designer to handcraft your gown and have it shipped back to our boutique.
2 Months Out
Once your gorgeous gown arrives at our boutique, the final step of building your bridal look is alterations. The alterations process involves 2-3 fitting appointments with a professional seamstress over the course of several weeks, during which you will get to make any necessary adjustments and personal embellishments requested to make your gown truly your own. This step is crucial to ensuring your wedding dress fits absolutely flawlessly, and you will be grateful to walk down the aisle in a look custom-tailored to your body.
